Junior Achievent
Junior Achievent Brasília Guaíba belongs to the group sponsoring this project and helps awaken young people's enterprising spirit, training a generation of leaders in the fields of business, education, society and politics. The Junior Achievement Association is a hands-on economy and business education organization. Funded by non-governmental donors, the organization's purpose is to awaken the enterprising spirit in youth while they are still in school. Created in the United States in 1919, the Association operates in 124 countries across the world. OSPA Foundation OSPA Foundation - Brasília Guaíba supports the dissemination of classical music and the creation of audiences in the state of Rio Grande do Sul by sponsoring the Fundação Orquestra Sinfônica de Porto Alegre - FOSPA (Porto Alegre Symphonic Orchestra Foundation). An agency of the State Department of Culture, the foundation's work focuses on the Porto Alegre Symphonic Orchestra (Orquestra Sinfônica de Porto Alegre - OSPA). It is the second oldest orchestra in the country and reaches an average audience of 100,000 people every year. FOSPA also operates a music conservatory - the Pablo Komlós Conservatory - which for 34 years has been training orchestra musicians free of charge, besides a Symphonic Choir staffed by more than 100 singers. Fishing Project Fishing Project - The purpose of the Projecto Pescar (Fishing Project) is to prepare at-risk youngsters through humanistic and vocational education to help them improve their insertion in society as contributing, professional members. It currently operates 120 units spread across 12 Brazilian states. It is also present in Argentina and Paraguay, by means of Pescar technology transfers. In its over 15 years in operation, Construtora Brasília Guaíba's Projeto Pescar unit has trained over 240 youngsters in the field of entry-level electro-mechanics. |
